Our warranty

Our repair work is backed in writing. What the warranty covers, and who stands behind it, depends on the type of repair and the system used. This page explains how each one works.

HeliFix crack stitching and structural repairs

Melbourne Building Repairs is a licensed HeliFix applicator and installer. HeliFix crack stitching and structural repairs we install can be warranted by HeliFix. The process is:

1. Engineering report and design. A structural engineer we nominate prepares an engineering report and repair design, identifying what is causing the movement.
2. HeliFix approval. HeliFix head office reviews and approves the engineering design.
3. Installation and warranty. We install the repair to the approved design, and HeliFix warrants the job.

So the warranty sits on a repair that has been engineered for the actual cause of the cracking and approved by the manufacturer, not just a filled crack. Read more about HeliFix crack stitching.

Dulux Acratex coating and render systems

Where we apply a full Dulux Acratex system, the work is eligible for a Dulux Acratex system warranty. The warranty applies to the complete system, applied to Dulux Acratex’s specification.

Kerakoll waterproofing systems

Where we install a full Kerakoll waterproofing system, for example on a leaking balcony, the work is eligible for a Kerakoll system warranty. As with Dulux Acratex, it applies to the complete system, installed to Kerakoll’s specification.

All other repairs

Repairs that are not covered by a manufacturer system warranty are backed by our written workmanship warranty.
